Balkondes Tegal Arum, Proof of Concern for Angkasa Pura II for Tourism

08 Sep 2018

MAGELANG ( - President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin inaugurated the Village Economic Hall (Balkondes) of Tegal Arum, Borobudur, Magelang, Central Java.

This is a proof of the concern and commitment of Angkasa Pura II for the country through the support of efforts to improve the economy in the countryside.

"The presence of Balkondes is the first step for residents of Tegalarum Village to show local potentials that can improve the economy of local residents. This is also support for the government to increase the number of foreign tourist visits targeted to reach 20 million by 2019, "Awaluddin said in Magelang on Friday (7/9/2018).

PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) through the Community Development Center unit participated in the program. Also attending the event were Finance Director of Angkasa Pura II, Borobudur Sub-District Head, Village Head, and Tegal Arum Community and travel agents.

In the construction that began in April 2018, Angkasa Pura II involved local residents to complete the Tegal Arum Balkondes.

The theme promoted in the construction of the Balkondes is "Saka Pitu" which is a philosophy of life for humans.
Saka Pitu consists of two words, Saka and Pitu. Saka means a pillar that symbolizes a firm stance for Javanese people in carrying out life.

Whereas Pitu means seven which implies seven guidelines and advice for the Javanese community (Pitutur, Pituwas, Pituhu, Pituduh, P Calculation, Pituna, Pitulungan).

"Tegal Arum Balkondes is projected to be a digital village heritage or digital heritage homestay, namely as a tourist village complex that combines digital technology with the unique rural atmosphere in sharing cultural activities, arts, MSMEs, education and agro tourism," Awaluddin concluded.
