This is marked by the Garuda Indonesia airline opening Denpasar-Kualanamu-London flights, starting Tuesday (6/8).
The flight is operated using a wide body aircraft (widebody) Airbus A330-200 with a capacity of 200 passengers and takes flight around 13 hours 20 minutes.
Garuda Indonesia operates Denpasar-Kualanamu-London flights three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Departures from Kualanamu are served on flight GA 086 at 12:40 WIB, while from Heathrow using GA 087 at 21:45 local time.
In a press release, President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said the opening of the flight by Garuda indicated that the international aviation market from Kualanamu was still highly developed.
Muhammad Awaluddin said the realization of the flight to London was due to good cooperation between all parties including airport operators, airlines, ground handling and regulators such as customs and excise, quarantine and immigration.
