Latest news about PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero)
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is now not only a place to get on and off passenger planes. Currently, Soekarno Hatta Airport can support various activities by having premium coworking space.
The facility supports a variety of service innovations that have been provided at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Some of them include i-Millennial Airport Travel Experience (iMATE) Lounge, AirSport Arena which provides online game play facilities, premium capsule hotels under the Digital Airport Hotel brand, and Heliport City.
Ph. SVP of Corporate Secretary of PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II (Persero) Achmad Rifai said the coworking space named APSPACE was the result of collaboration between PT Angkasa Pura Solusi (APS) which is a subsidiary of AP II and Unionspace. "Coworking space is here to meet the demand of professionals who need work space at the airport to ensure business continues to run smoothly," Rifai said in a written statement received by Republika.co.id, Monday (12/8).
Rifai added that this collaboration with Unionspace is one of AP II's commitments in achieving the Go Global target. One of them is done through partnerships with world-class companies.
"Unionspace has coworking space locations in various countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and in Singapore and China. We are sure that APSPACE will be very useful and meet the needs of travelers in Soekarno-Hatta, "Rifai explained.
By having a coworking space, Rifai said Soekarno Hatta Airport will be a model of how airports should be developed by taking into account trends and needs of travelers and visitors alike. This also brings service standards at airports to a higher level.
APSPACE, which was designed with a minimalist and modern concept, aside from having a coworking space service, also provides various other services. Some of them are serviced offices, meeting rooms, event venues, business lounges, high speed internet, to sleeping pods.
"Professionals can hold meetings or meet business partners in this premium coworking space before or after traveling by plane. The existence of APSpace can save the time of professionals, who are already very crowded, "explained Achmad Rifai.
Meanwhile, Angkasa Pura II Commercial Director of Solutions Yundriati Erdani said APSPACE's coworking space is one of the strategies in supporting the parent company to increase revenue from noncore business.
"Angkasa Pura Solusi as an AP II subsidiary is massively seeking various opportunities to increase revenue, so that the contribution of noncore business to the Angkasa Pura II Group can be maximized," Yundriati explained.
Yundriati said that it was possible for Angkasa Pura Solusi to open a similar coworking space at other AP II airports. Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, which is the first location of APSPACE, is the most modern aircraft passenger terminal in Indonesia with a capacity of 25 million passengers per year.
