Jakarta, Beritasatu.com - PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II (Persero) provides walk through disinfection (WTD) facilities at airports managed by the company to minimize the spread of the corona virus or Covid-19.
The WTD facility works by spraying disinfectant liquid on passengers and airport workers when they walk into the facility.
President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II, Muhammad Awaluddin hopes that the facility can make aircraft passengers, visitors and workers at the airport free from viruses that can be attached to clothing or other media.
"This WTD facility is one of our efforts to prevent the spread of the corona virus, through spraying disinfectant liquid to airplane passengers or airport visitors. We hope that this facility can also provide tranquility for aircraft passengers, airport visitors and workers at the airport," Awaluddin said in press release, Thursday (3/26/2020).
WTD facilities are available at 16 airports managed by PT Angkasa Pura II, namely Soekarno-Hatta (Banten), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (Palembang), Kualanamu (Deli Serdang), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru), Halim Perdanakusuma (Jakarta), Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Tanjung Pinang).
Then, Supadio airport (Pontianak), Banyuwangi, Radin Inten II (Lampung), Husein Sastranegara (Bandung), Depati Amir (Pangkalpinang), Sultan Thaha (Jambi), HAS Hanandjoeddin (Belitung), Tjilik Riwut (Palangkaraya) and Kertajati (Majalengka) ).
Meanwhile, in the near future there will be 3 other airports namely Fatmawati Soekarno (Bengkulu), Sultan Iskandar Muda (Aceh) and Minangkabau (Padang).
