Angkasa Pura II Provides 50 Percent Discount on Tenant Rental Costs at the Airport

15 Aug 2020

Bisnis.com, JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) supports the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) by providing rental fee discounts for MSMEs at airports and also preparing special programs for the procurement of goods and services.

PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the company would provide business space support for MSMEs with 50 percent cheaper rental rates than normal costs.

To support MSMEs in Indonesia, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir and Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding the Development and Development of Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

After the MoU is signed by the Minister of BUMN and the Minister of Cooperatives & SMEs, then the next step is that there will be an MoU between PT Angkasa Pura II and the Ministry of Cooperatives & SMEs to discuss in more detail the commercial areas or business space for MSMEs at PT Angkasa Pura II airports.

"We have prepared nearly 100 business spaces for MSMEs at 19 airports. The special rental value for MSMEs is 50 percent of the normal cost. The other points will be discussed in more detail after the MoU between PT Angkasa Pura II and the Ministry of Cooperatives & Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) was made, ”Muhammad Awaluddin wrote in a press release, Saturday (15/8/2020).

Nearly 100 business spaces have been prepared for MSMEs, including at Soekarno-Hatta and Kualanamu Airport (Deli Serdang). BUMN Minister Erick Thohir said airport operators have made preparations to support this.

On the same occasion, Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir said that the Ministry of BUMN in the near future will launch the PaDi (Digital Market) program to support MSMEs so that they can participate in the procurement of BUMN capital expenditures for a number of job categories with a value of Rp250 million to Rp14 billion.

"We will launch the PaDi program for MSMEs where this program is very real because we provide opportunities for MSMEs to absorb capex rather than BUMN. We start from 8 types of work, whether catering, heavy equipment and others, "explained the Minister of BUMN.

Awaluddin said that the company fully supports the PaDi program at the Ministry of BUMN. "The job tender of Rp. 250 million to Rp. 14 billion will move the portion to MSMEs. We will arrange which types of work are in accordance with the PaDi program of the Ministry of BUMN, which can be transferred to MSME actors, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

Meanwhile, PT Angkasa Pura II currently manages Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Tangerang), Halim Perdanakusuma (Jakarta), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (Palembang), Kualanamu (Deli Serdang), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru), Silangit (North Tapanuli).
