President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said this was a real step for the company in creating an atmosphere that could maintain public trust and confidence in the aviation sector.
"This is also an effort by PT Angkasa Pura II so that flights remain optimal in contributing to community activities and supporting the economy," said Muhammad Awaluddin in a release received on Saturday (17/10).

Meanwhile, through biosafety management, PT Angkasa Pura II has a biohazard precautions program, namely efforts to prevent and protect the health of airport service users from the threat of the covid-19 virus outbreak.
Environment screening is applied to keep the environment clean and healthy. For example, with the application of good air circulation, the use of UV sterilizers and in the future the use of plasma clusters and HEPA filters at the terminal.
Then the testing lab facilities, Soekarno-Hatta Airport are planned to have laboratory facilities to test for covid-19 on travelers.
Infrastructure sterilization, namely carrying out disinfection in every building at the airport and public health assurance. The airport also has a handling protocol if there are parties who are indicated by Covid-19.
"The application of biosafety and biosecurity management must be carried out simultaneously, not individually, because the two concepts complement each other to create Airport Public Health Security," said Awaluddin.
PT Angkasa Pura II assessed that biosafety and biosecurity management are also steps to increase flight confidence on international routes.
"In the near future, Soekarno-Hatta Airport will be connected directly to Changi in Singapore via the Reciprocal Green Lane in the Safe Travel Corridor program. PT Angkasa Pura II also plans to run the Airport Corridor Arrangement Iniciatives program. These two things must be done by ensuring the implementation of health protocols that have the same standards at every airport, "said Awaluddin.
"In the midst of this pandemic, health protocols at airports are very important and may become a requirement for international connectivity for a number of countries. Soekarno-Hatta Airport is ready for that because it has adopted biosecurity and biosafety management, "he concluded. (OL-5)
