Latest news about PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero)
Tangerang - Construction of the third runway at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport runs smoothly and is ready to operate in June 2019. PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) has carried out the land acquisition needed for the project.
The challenge in the construction of the third runway is for land acquisition, where AP II has been carried out smoothly. The total land needed is 216 hectares to build the 3,000 x 60 square meter runway. From this area, AP II previously had 49 hectares plus 167 hectares that had been released which was divided into 3,021 plots of land.
The area is located in Tangerang City, namely Selapajang Jaya Village and Benda Village, and Tangerang Regency, namely Bojong Renged Village, Rawa Burung Village and Rawa Rengas Village.
President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said the construction of the third runway would not be carried out without the support of landowners.
In line with that, he expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the residents so that the project went on schedule.
"The third runway can make flights at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport increase to 120 flights every hour," he said.
Muhammad Awaluddin said the third runway development fund reached Rp 2 trillion, while the land acquisition fund reached Rp 4 trillion with a total of 6 trillion rupiah.
The current Soekarno-Hatta International Airport operates two runways which accommodate 80 + 1 flights per hour.
In addition to building the third runway, AP II is also completing the east cross taxiway (ECT) project which is targeted to be used in mid-2019.
East cross taxiway is a road on the east side of the airport that is used by aircraft to cross from runway 1 to runway 2 and vice versa.
Now at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport there is a west cross taxiway.
"Through the east cross taxiway, and the west cross taxiway that currently exists, the aircraft can pass faster from runway 1 to runway 2 and vice versa," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
