Five Angkasa Pura II Airports Success the Return of 2018 Hajj Pilgrims

Tangerang - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) successfully welcomed the arrival of Hajj flights at airports managed by the company. The number of Hajj flights arriving at five airports in the AP II environment, including Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Iskandar Muda International Airport - Aceh, Kualanamu International Airport - Deli Serdang, Minangkabau International Airport - Padang, and Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport - Palembang . Overall there are 229 flight groups or flight groups.

At the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, the return period of Hajj pilgrims took place from August 27 to September 25, 2018 with as many as 159 flight groups.

Meanwhile, at Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport, Aceh, as many as .12 flight groups will arrive on August 28 to September 25. As for Kualanamu International Airport, from September 2 to 26, 2018 there were 22 flight arrivals in North Sumatra

The arrival of Hajj pilgrims directly from the Holy Land also through Minangkabau International Airport, Padang, on August 28 to 13 September 2018 with as many as 17 fleets and Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport, Palembang, on August 27 to September 24, 2018 as many as 19 fleet.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin explained that from the operational side, Angkasa Pura II had prepared itself to welcome the arrival of pilgrims. Awaluddin said, "In principle we have prepared the return of pilgrims from the Holy Land. We have done this preparation both from the air and operational side of the land, "Awaluddin said.

Awaluddin added that he hoped the arrival of Hajj flights at AP II airports would run smoothly. To support this smoothness, Awal appealed to the pilgrims to be able to comply with the provisions of luggage and as to be taken. "For the smooth return of the 2018 pilgrims' pilgrimage process, we have appealed to the pilgrims to comply with the provisions of luggage or baggage in accordance with predetermined regulations. This will greatly help smooth the process of arrival and baggage collection of pilgrims, "said Awaluddin.

Angkasa Pura II has served 2018 hajj embarkation and dembarkation totaling 229 batches with a total of pilgrims reaching 91,316 worshipers, and the total baggage reached 1,621,220 kilograms.

Based on the data that has been obtained, it can be stated that there was a significant increase in the number of flight pilgrims compared to last year's implementation, especially the departure flight of Minangkabau International Airport, Padang. There was an increase in the number of pilgrims who were previously 13 flight groups, this year becoming 17 fleet. Increased by 23.5% compared to the previous year. Similar to Padang, the addition of pilot pilots also occurred at the departure from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. There are 2 additional flight groups compared to the previous year.

As a whole, there have been an increase in the number of pilgrims who have departed through five AP II airports. In 2017 there were 224 flight groups, while in 2018 there were 5 additional flight groups to 229 flight groups.
