Close to the Asian Games Post, Angkasa Pura II Performs Preparation for the 2018 Asian Para Games

Tangerang, September 2018 - Angkasa Pura II officially closed the Asian Games International Airport Soekarno-Hatta alert post on 10 September 2018. The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Asian Games Alert Post has been running for a full month from 7 August to 7 September 2018 with a total number of athletes and officials leaving Jakarta and Palembang there were approximately 18,000 contingents closed at a closing ceremony attended by all the Asian Games command post task forces and led by the President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), Muhammad Awaluddin.

The end of the 2018 Asian Games event in Jakarta and Palembang does not mean that Asian international events will just end. After successfully hosting Asian games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia will host the 3rd Asian Para Games in 2018 which will be held in Jakarta on October 6-13, 2018.

In carrying out the smooth running of the 2018 Asian Para Games, just like the 2018 Asian Games, Angkasa Pura II still carries the ACTIF concept: Airport capacity; Communication; Traffic routes; Infrastructure and Facility (technology) to maximize the role of airports in supporting the continuation of the 2018 Indonesia Asian Para Games which will involve 41 participating countries, 2,888 athletes and 1,826 officials.

Preparations made in welcoming the 2018 Asian Para Games are almost the same as during the Asian Games event by maximizing a number of sides such as the management of contingent aircraft parking slots; Arrival & Departure management preparations and flow arrangements for the athletes of the games; Placement of drop-off areas, lift facilities and toilets for difable; Addition of conveyor and Self Check-In Counter facilities; Musholla and fast line prepared to welcome athletes; Wheelchair flow; Hospitality preparation for athletes; to the placement of a number of volunteers at several points to help regulate the flow of passengers.

Muhammad Awaluddin stated, "The coordination and cooperation that has been demonstrated during the 18th Asian Games event, I am sure will support the services we provide in welcoming the 3rd Asian Para Games which will take place in Jakarta in October."
