PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Records Positive Growth Throughout January - March 2018

TANGERANG, April 30, 2018 - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) during January to March 2018 recorded a positive performance in which the company has served around 26.9 million passengers in all airports managed. This number grew by more than 10.4% compared to last year which only reached 24.3 million passengers.

In addition, in all AP II airports during January-March 2018, aircraft movements also increased by 10.3% to 210,542 movements this year compared to 2017, which was around 190,944 movements.

The number of passengers and the largest number of aircraft movements came from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, which is the company's main airport with around 15.5 million passengers or an increase of about 6% compared to last year which only reached 14.6 million passengers and 112,329 aircraft movements. 7.8% compared to 2017 which was 112,329 movements.

Raja Haji Fisabilillah, Silangit, and Banyuwangi Airports are the most contributing positive contributions during January-March 2018 where the three airports were able to achieve growth of more than 33% and the aircraft movements grew by more than 48%.

PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said, "Passenger growth and aircraft movements in Q1 / 2018 which have so far more than 10% have been a positive impact of our efforts to operate several new airports and terminals."

"Silangit and Banyuwangi destinations are attractive destinations and the demand is growing quite well because indeed it is a tourist destination that is now developing", Awaluddin added.

Meanwhile, positive growth was also seen from cargo services which experienced a significant increase where during January-March 2018 the company served more than 218,193 tons of cargo from all AP II airports. This number grew 7.7% compared to last year which only served 20,602 tons.

The increase in passenger flow, aircraft movements, cargo during this period caused the company to be able to achieve business revenue (revenue) with a double digit growth from both the aeronautical business and non-aeroautic business which reached more than Rp 2.2 trillion, where the achievement increased significantly around 21% compared to 2017 which is Rp 1.8 trillion.
