Angkasa Pura II Delivers Service Excellence During Ramadhan and Eid Fitri Flights 2018

The company's readiness in the success of service delivery for Eid Fitri service and transportation users in all airports under the management company both from the operational, service, facilities, safety, and security readiness in conditions worthy of operation. 

As the one form of readiness, the Eid Fitri Transport Post is started on H-10, up to H+15, that are on June 5, 2018 to June 30, 2018 at all company airports.

The post will operate for 24 hours by a combination of personnel from AP II and airport stakeholders such as the TNI & Polri, Port Health Office, Airport Authority, and airlines to ensure the fluency operation of the airport and facilitate the intensity of coordination among stakeholders so that there are related problems airport or flight operations can be completed quickly.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said, "Eid Fitri transportation In this year, we are committed to maintaining a high standard of service even though the number of aircraft passengers will be far more than on a normal day. The existence of this post is a company effort to provide services to service users and travelers to always feel safe, comfortable and informed when they are at the airport."

AP II predicts the number of aircraft passengers during the Eid Fitri transport period 2018 H-10 to H+7 in all airports will reach 6.72 million passengers, an increase of around 10% compared to the previous year's realization of 6.13 million passengers.

The peak of Lebaran homecoming 2018  is predicted on the 3rd day with the number reaching 391 thousand passengers, up about 12% compared to last year and otherwise, the peak of return Lebaran 2018 is predicted on H+6 with 402 thousand passengers up 14% compared with last year.

Meanwhile the growth in the number of aircraft movements during the Lebaran transportation period 2018  is also expected to increase to 47,587 movements, which is growing 9% compared to 2017 which was only 43,881 movements.

Additional flights or extra flights during the Lebaran transport period 2018 for all 14 airports managed by the company are planned to be available as many as 366 flights divided by 288 for domestic flights and 78 for international flights. At present the company is coordinating with various airlines so that the amount of extra flight can be increased to be available to serve more service users.

"We will optimally optimize the use of flight slots at the airport so that a number of extra flights to various homecoming destinations can be available properly. We also hope that the density of passengers at the airport during Lebaran transportation this year can be more fluid, especially at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, which is the busiest airport during the period of Lebaran transportation later. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are expected to have more space to accommodate the movement of passengers and domestic flights because a number of international airlines have been moved to Terminal 3 where Garuda Indonesia also operates both domestic and foreign flights there, 'Awaluddin explained.

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Kualanamu International Airport, Minangkabau International Airport, and Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport are the busiest airports during Lebaran transportation, where the airport will welcome travelers and release them during the homecoming.

In terms of airport security, the company optimizes the security system and carries out security checks on people, goods, and periodically checks on vehicles in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedure consistently.

Particularly the number of security personnel during the period of the Lebaran transportation reached 4,974 personnel consisting of elements of the TNI & Police, Aviation Security, and security in public areas. This number increased compared to the same period last year which was 4,490 personnel. Meanwhile, the number of CCTVs to monitor every part of the airport was also increased by 2,487 units from the previous 1,954 units.

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is certain to be the busiest in the Lebaran transport period 2018 and therefore the company will specifically improve the quality of security by preparing 1994 CCTV units, 2406 personnel consisting of 184 TNI personnel, 1556 Aviation Security personnel, 106 Rescue and Fire personnel Fighting Service and 560 security personnel in the public area.

In the period of Lebaran transportation 2018, the company also additions, facilities maintenance officers, as well as supporting service officers in terminals such as mobile customer service, airport helper, and others. Besides to the addition of personnel, increasing facilities for worship facilities such as mushalla in each terminal was also improved both from cleanliness and  the completeness of worship stuff such as the addition of the Al-Qur'an, the prayer tools, and others.

The Company also provides Takjil to break the fast at 14 airports every day during the Ramadan period which will be given to passengers in the Boarding Lounge and Arrival areas.

With the various efforts that we have prepared, we are optimistic that the implementation of Lebaran transportation this year will be better than before.
