Angkasa Pura II Revenue Increased 24% in 2017

PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) in 2017 again recorded a positive performance by posting an increase in revenue compared to the previous year.

Throughout 2017 the company managed to achieve revenue (unaudited) with a growth of double digits which reached more than Rp. 8.24 trillion. This achievement increased significantly, around 24% compared to 2016, which was Rp. 6.65 trillion.

Revenues during January - December 2017 amounting to Rp 5,019 trillion came from the aeronautical business such as Airplane Passenger Services (PJP2U), aircraft landing fees, and garbarata usage. Meanwhile, non-aeronautical businesses such as concessions, space leases, billboards, and cargo businesses and so on during the same period generated revenues of Rp. 3.23 trillion.

The increase in revenue is in line with the increase in the flow of aircraft passengers in 13 airports managed by the company, from 95 million passengers in 2016, up 10.83% to 105 million passengers in 2017. As for aircraft movements in 2017 increased by 13.46% with a total of 821,188 movements compared to 2016 at 723,799 movements. In addition, cargo management also experienced the largest growth in the last 5 years, namely 9.90% with a total of 816,950 tons.

The increase in passenger flows, aircraft movements, cargo besides due to company policies that provide a number of incentives for airlines that open new international routes in a number of airports and the addition of extra flights, the operation of several new terminals by corporations has accommodated additional passenger capacity at several airports such as Soekarno International Terminal 3 -Hatta, Husein Sastranegara, Depati Amir, Supadio, and Silangit.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said, "The Year of Excellence 2017 is the theme of the corporate RKAP last year where we have set a number of main targets namely Triple Double Digit Growth for REFi (Revenue Ebitda Traffic), Achieving serving 100 million passengers in all AP II airports and the implementation of the Smart Airport concept in various services and facilities at the airport terminal ".

"The positive performance that exceeds the company's target is also supported by our other successes in operating a number of new terminals in 2017, namely Soekarno-Hatta International Terminal 3, Husein Sastranegara Airport New Terminal, and the launch of the Silangit Airport New Terminal and Supadio Airport by the President Joko Widodo, added Awaluddin.

The achievements of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) throughout 2017 are even more complete with the awarding of corporations with several prestigious awards and awards both nationally, regionally and globally, including the following:

1. Soekarno-Hatta International Airport ranks 1st in the category "World's Most Improved Airport 2017" from Skytrax;
2. Gold, Silver and Bronze awards at the 2017 Asia Pacific Stevie Award;
3. Runner up award for the Air Traffic Controller & Passenger Experience category at the 2017 International Airport Review Awards (IARA);
4. Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards at the 2017 World Asia Pacific Contact Center;
5. The Best of Overall BUMN Award, 1st Rank Best Financial Performance, 2nd Rank Best Company Transformation from the 2017 BUMN Award;
6. Predicate the Good Performance Company 2017 from the Ekselen BUMN Forum, Ministry of BUMN; and

In addition to the achievement of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) as the holding company, the three subsidiaries namely PT Angkasa Pura Solusi (APS), PT Angkasa Pura Propertindo (APP) and PT Angkasa Pura Kargo (APK) also posted positive contributions in 2017 where it is estimated can earn up to Rp. 986.9 billion or approximately 11.96% of AP II revenue, which comes from APS of Rp. 806 billion, then APK of Rp. 117.4 billion, and APP of Rp. 63.5 billion.

Currently in 2018 the three subsidiaries are making various preparations to carry out a business plan, namely APS will begin to focus on developing business facility services and passenger services with a digital-based approach, then APP will complete airport hotel projects at Kualanamu International Airport in April 2018 and starting construction of hotels at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in December 2018 and Kualanamu International Airport in May 2018, while APK will develop Aeroplex Integrated I Warehouse (IWA), an integrated multimodal warehousing center to meet the e-commerce market needs located in Cengkareng and warehousing management in 10 (ten) AP II airports.

PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) in 2018 will focus on developing and implementing the Airport Digital Journey Experience program where corporations will optimize the use of digital infrastructure to improve passenger and service user services at 14 airports managed by corporations and create better customer experience as well as in Improved Airport Service Quality Level.

PT Angkasa Pura (Persero) will also make various efforts to anticipate the growth of air transportation in 2018, particularly related to the potential of Indonesian tourism destinations, among others, to increase Slot Availability, Seat Capacity and Service Quality at airports managed by corporations in supporting government target to reach 5 million foreign tourists by 2018.
