Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) provided assistance worth Rp150 million to improve road infrastructure in Pasir Putih Village, Messah Island, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
The assistance was symbolically given by Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin on Messah Island on Sunday 6 October 2019.
The road repair assistance is part of the BUMN Synergy activity in helping to improve infrastructure for the community in NTT especially West Manggarai Regency and surrounding areas.
In addition to road improvements by Angkasa Pura II, other assistance provided by SOEs in NTT is electrification, increased internet access, repair and renovation of the Messa Island jetty, renovation assistance for Rinca Island schools and MCK construction and clean water facilities, repair of religious facilities and training for Local MSMEs.
"On this occasion Angkasa Pura II helped repair the road in Pasir Putih Village. We hope that the road repair can facilitate the accessibility of the local community in carrying out their activities," said Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin.
Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin explained, the assistance from Angkasa Pura II and other BUMNs were also expected to support the growth of tourism in Labuan Bajo.
"Repairing these facilities is a form of SOE support so that foreign and domestic tourists can feel more comfortable in Labuan Bajo," Muhammad Awaluddin explained.
SOE Minister Rini M. Soemarno was also present at the same place and met directly with the people receiving electrification assistance or free electricity connection.
"I welcome the synergy of BUMNs that have provided free electricity connection assistance to the people of NTT. Thank you to PLN and SOEs who have synergized electrifying 16,503 people in 22 districts in the NTT region. Hopefully the electrification ratio in NTT will continue to improve in line with the government's target to encourage electrification in NTT and will certainly be able to drive improvements in the people's economy, "said Minister Rini.
The SOE Minister yesterday also inaugurated 5 solar power plants (PLTS) to support electricity supply in NTT, especially for people living in the outer islands.
The PLTS is located in Pasir Putih Village (530kWp), Seraya Mareanny Village (190kWp), Batu Tiga Village (120kWp), Nuca Molas Village (380 kWp) and Usulanu Village (70kWp).
