Halim Perdanakusuma Airport Returns to Normal Operation

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) informed that today, Thursday 2 January 2020, Halim Perdanakusuma Airport has returned to normal operations to serve civil aviation.

The reopening of Halim Perdanakusuma today after PT Angkasa Pura II checked and ensured that all facilities, equipment and runways had fulfilled flight safety and security aspects so that they were operational.

As for the runway conditions at this time there is no pool of water can be used fully with dimensions of 3,000 x 45 meters.

The structure of the violence and rigidity of the runway still meets the standards and there is no damage due to standing water.

In addition, there is no damage to runway lights and taxiways so that they can be used properly.

PT Angkasa Pura II has also inspected and cleaned foreign object debris (FOD) due to water-borne material.

Yesterday, January 1, 2020, Halim Perdanakusuma was closed for flight security and safety because there were puddles on the runway.

While Halim Perdanakusuma was closed, all flights were diverted to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

As the manager of the two airports, PT Angkasa Pura II implements the concept of managing the airport Multi-airport system so that Halim Perdanakusuma and Soekarno-Hatta support each other so that the flight diversion can run smoothly.

"We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the flight at Halim Perdanakusuma when it was moved to Soekarno-Hatta. The flight diversion went smoothly, and today Halim Perdanakusuma has resumed normal operations," said PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin.

It can be informed that scheduled airlines operating at Halim Perdanakusuma are Wings Air, Batik Air and Citilink for a number of flight routes.

PT Angkasa Pura II appealed to airplane passengers to pay attention to information provided by the airline regarding flights at Halim Perdanakusuma.
