Jakarta - Entering 2020, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) has established a new brandline, The Leading Indonesia’s Airport Company.

This brand line is always displayed side by side with the company logo that is Sky City or the world without borders, which consists of the globe symbol of PT Angkasa Pura II.

The Leading Indonesia's Airport Company brandline departs from various achievements and achievements of PT Angkasa Pura II in 2016 - 2019, the period in which the company ran Corporate Transformation 1.0 which focused on culture transformation including including the provision of digitalization in the service sector, operations, and business development airport.

In 2019, PT Angkasa Pura II also signed a cooperation agreement to operate and develop 3 government airports in the form of Cooperation in the Utilization of State Property, namely for Fatmawati Soekarno Airport in Bengkulu, Radin Inten II Airport in Lampung, and HAS Hanandjoeddin Airport in Belitung.

The performance of PT Angkasa Pura II was also recognized by the Ministry of SOEs Ministry of SOEs in 2019. PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said another important achievement was the company's success in digitizing airports through the Smart Airport concept in order to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency, as well as non-aeronautical business development.

"Digitalization in airport management cannot be denied, airports cannot be managed in traditional ways anymore. The airport can be likened to connecting all economic activities, so if there is the term Internet of Things (IoT), tomorrow there will be an Airport of Things, "Awaluddin said.

"Various awards and achievements in the operational, service and business sectors supported by the implementation of digitization have made PT Angkasa Pura II to become The Leading Indonesia’s Airport Company."

"In 2020 - 2024, PT Angkasa Pura II seeks to increase the level of the national airport sector by starting to implement the use of the latest technology such as artificial intelligence, internet of things, big data analytics, roboting, automation, virtual reality to augmented reality," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

2020 performance

This year is quite important for PT Angkasa Pura II because it is the beginning of the start of Corporate Strategic Transformation 2.0. The company will utilize various potentials to seize opportunities to form a solid foundation in welcoming a new era of national airport.

In 2020, PT Angkasa Pura II is targeting revenues of IDR 12.8 trillion, an increase of 34% compared to the 2019 prognosis.

Net income in 2020 is projected to be more than IDR 3 trillion with EBITDA of IDR 5.3 trillion.

"Revenues this year were contributed from the aeronautical business at IDR6.26 trillion, and non-aeronautical IDR6.54 trillion, which included cargo revenue. So, for the first time starting in 2020, the biggest revenue contributor to PT Angkasa Pura II came from the non-aeronautical business, which amounted to 51%, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

The concept of managing a company's portfolio has also begun to be developed not only relying on the core business alone but has entered into adjacent business (beyond the core). The implementation of this concept is maximizing the existing revenue in the form of "multi-sided" revenue streams, such as: digital business, big data, transportation platform systems, and so on.

These targets can be achieved by also maximizing the synergy of subsidiaries through the implementation of corporate parenting strategy in the form of strategic control in Angkasa Pura II Group in this case at PT Angkasa Pura Propertindo, PT Angkasa Pura Cargo, PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, PT Gapura Angkasa, and PT Angkasa Pura Solusi along with two of its subsidiaries namely PT Angkasa Pura Solusi Integra and PT Angkasa Pura Sarana Digital.

"All of the targeted subsidiaries received revenue of Rp3.4 trillion or around 26.7% of the total income in 2020," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Meanwhile, from an operational perspective, PT Angkasa Pura II projects that the total number of passengers for all airports managed by the airport will reach 93.92 million passengers, an increase of around 4.3% compared to last year.

The aircraft's movement is projected to reach 771,940, up 4.2%, and cargo management up 4.2% to 802,177 tons.

On the service side, PT Angkasa Pura II optimizes existing digital-based services as well as various innovations going forward with Soekarno-Hatta Airport as a place to develop various digitalisation platforms.

No less important, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) continues to optimize the role of Soekarno-Hatta Airport as the Main Gate of Indonesia, or The Gate of Indonesia. The big concept itself is the Airport as the Center for Indonesian Art and Culture (Airport as Art, Culture and Tourism Hub)
