Soekarno-Hatta Airport Stakeholders Sign a Collective Agreement to Implement the Digitalization of the COVID-19 Test Result Letter

Jakarta - Stakeholders at Soekarno-Hatta Airport today, Thursday, January 21, 2021, signed a Joint Agreement on Digitalization of eHAC Health Documents for Departure at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

The signing of the Collective Agreement was carried out at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, by:
1. PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) as the operator of Soekarno-Hatta Airport
2. Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health (KKP Kemenkes)
3. Air Task Force for Handling COVID-19
4. Provider of COVID-19 test facilities at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Farma Lab & Kimia Farma Diagnostika)
5. Airlines (Garuda Indonesia, Citilink Indonesia, Batik Air, Lion Air, Sriwijaya Air, NAM Air, AirAsia Indonesia, Airfast)
6. Support for the Ministry of Health's E-HAC application (Vaksinku & Healthy Passport)
7. PT Gapura Angkasa as ground handling party

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said digitizing health documents / certificates of COVID-19 test results created a seamless journey because prospective aircraft passengers no longer need to carry physical paper and queue for manual validation.

"AP II encourages stakeholders to make Soekarno-Hatta Airport implement digitization of the COVID-19 test result certificate as a condition for traveling on domestic routes. Thus, health protocols can be fulfilled more easily, customer experience also increases because a seamless journey is created, and what is no less important is that this helps to prevent the practice of falsifying test papers because validation is done digitally, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport Executive General Manager Agus Haryadi said the digitization of the COVID-19 test letter was carried out through the eHAC application owned by the Ministry of Health.

"In simple terms, the implementation of digitizing test results letters can be explained as follows: Prospective passengers carry out a COVID-19 test at health facilities [health facilities] that are registered in the eHAC application, such as the Airport Health Center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport."
 
"After the test was carried out, the health facility sent a negative test result to the passenger's eHAC. Then, prospective passengers receive a QR Code in the eHAC application, "said Agus Haryadi.

The QR Code on the eHAC is shown by prospective passengers at the check-in counter for inspection by airline staff. Airline officers will also be at Security Check Point 2 [SCP 2] to check the QR Code for prospective passengers who perform self check-in or web check-in.

"The supporting infrastructure is ready, at every check-in counter and at SCP 2 there is a QR Code reader for airline staff," said Agus Haryadi.

Head of Soekarno-Hatta Regional Airport Authority Office, Moh. Alwi said the collaboration between stakeholders at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, including presenting the digitization of health documents, was hoped to be able to ward off the practice of falsifying COVID-19 test results documents from recurring, and maintaining public trust in air transportation.

"Prospective aircraft passengers must carry out the COVID-19 test as required, this is to keep air transportation healthy, safe and comfortable in traveling," said Moh. Alwi.

Head of the Air Task Force for Handling COVID-19 Colonel Pas MA. Silaban (TNI AU) said that the digital inspection was an effort to close the circulation of fake COVID-19 test results.

"We urge prospective aircraft passengers to be careful of fraud related to fake test letters, not to be tempted by individuals promising fake test letters, and not to fake test letters," said Colonel Pas MA. Silaban (TNI AU).

Head of the Ministry of Health's KKP Soekarno-Hatta Airport Darmawali Handoko said that the plan for digital validation of the COVID-19 test results letter will be fully implemented in February 2021.

Managing Director of Farma Lab Arie Genipa and Managing Director of Kimia Farma Diagnostika Adil Fadilah Bulqini emphasized that health facility providers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport are ready to digitize the COVID-19 test result letter by directly sending the test result letter to the E-HAC application.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesia National Air Carriers Association (INACA) Denon Prawiraatmadja said, "National airlines support the ease of implementing health protocols in order to realize healthy flights. Airline officers will help check the QR Code for prospective aircraft passengers. "

The implementation of digitizing the COVID-19 test result letter is important for the first time at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is the anchor for domestic flights where most of the airplane passengers depart from here to go to other airports in the country. In the future, other airports under AP II will also implement this health document digitization.
