Throughout 2023 Soekarno-Hatta Airport will be enlivened by the presence of hundreds of MSME actors fostered by AP II who promote products and arts
Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II makes the airport it manages useful in supporting the development of MSMEs.
AP II has so far carried out integrated programs from upstream to downstream to encourage MSMEs to upgrade, starting from incubation, training, financing, mentoring, to product promotion and marketing. This program reaches MSMEs located in 17 provinces where AP II airports operate.
In 2023, support for MSME fostered partners will be strengthened by expanding promotion and marketing at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia.
The financing program, as well as the promotion and marketing of MSMEs from various provinces free of charge at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, is one of the efforts to realize inclusivity for MSMEs, as emphasized by the Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir.
"This is a form of progress that has hope when we talk about financial inclusion. Therefore, we must ensure that inclusive programs that encourage MSMEs to upgrade, can run sustainably. Because it is through MSMEs that are the backbone of the people's economy that we can also overcome the problems we face, so as to achieve an independent and sovereign Indonesia," said the Minister of BUMN.
AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said that the financial support to the expansion of promotion and marketing was expected to accelerate MSMEs to upgrade.
"Each AP II airport provides an area for the promotion and marketing of MSME products. This year AP II is implementing a new concept in MSME development, in which MSME fostered partners receive additional support for free product promotion and marketing at the Nusantara Outlet which is located in Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport."
"We hope that the promotion and marketing of MSME products from these 17 provinces at Soekarno-Hatta Airport will accelerate MSMEs to upgrade. Nusantara outlets are a special area in Terminal 3 that we dedicate to the development of MSMEs. The Gerai Nusantara area is quite large and really supports the concept of an airport mall for MSMEs and is appropriate for Terminal 3, which already has a mall concept," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
The area of Nusantara Terminal 3 outlets spans the domestic arrivals area, starting from the baggage claim area exit to the outside of the terminal building, pick-up area, Terminal 3 Plaza, SMMILE Center and the four-wheeled vehicle parking building.
AP II Director of Human Capital Ajar Setiadi said that MSMEs from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province were the first to carry out promotions and marketing at Outlet Nusantara Termina 3 this year.
"It's not just about product promotion, later ornaments and art typical of the Bangka Belitung Islands will also be displayed at the Nusantara Terminal 3 outlet. This is the concept we are implementing this year, so there is promotion and marketing of MSME products which are also complemented by tourism promotions and regional arts from the MSME ,” explained Ajar Setiadi.
The MSMEs from the Bangka Belitung Islands who are AP II's fostered partners will carry out promotions and marketing of their products at the Nusantara Terminal 3 outlet on 1 - 28 February 2023.
"After MSMEs from the Bangka Belitung Islands, we will invite fostered partners from other provinces to join the Nusantara Terminal 3 outlet to promote products and promote local arts and tourism," said Ajar Setiadi.
In 2022, AP II will run a funding program for MSMEs with a value of around IDR 41.53 billion for more than 600 fostered partners engaged in the business sectors of industry, trade, agriculture, animal husbandry, plantations, fisheries and services.
